Political tides in the country have been on the rise over the past few months.
BBI and handshake politics were among the reasons that forced President Uhuru Kenyatta to convene a meeting with Mt Kenya leaders at Sagana recently.
Bahati MP Kimani Ngunjiri chose to openly dismiss Uhuru’s recent meeting with the Mt Kenya leaders at Sagana Lodge, Nyeri.
He thinks the President did not adequately address the issues he needed to focus on like BBI, handshake aftermath and his promise to avoid politicking till 2022.
In a long post on his Facebook page, the vocal MP expressed how the meeting was only meant to benefit a few people.
Part of the post read: “What is apparent from the meeting which was geared towards uniting Mt. Kenya region is that the meeting achieved opposite of what it was intended to attain."
The Tangatanga 'hitman' is uncontended with the meeting because he feels that MPS allied to DP Ruto were neglected.
He also feels that the protocol used at the meeting was not in order. He wondered why Muranga Woman Rep Sabina Chege was the host yet the area MP was not given that chance.
Njenga Mungai was given chance to speak on behalf of the Nakuru locals, something that Ngunjiri openly dismissed terming Njenga as one who does not have well knowledge of Nakuru county.
The Bahati lawmaker feels that the president has neglected part of Mt Kenya and Rift Valley electorate who largely voted for him in the last two elections.
