The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) has been urged to investigate Gabrielle Straten over the death of her brother Tob Cohen.
This is after details emerged that Gabrielle was the main beneficiary of the late Dutch businessman's estate.
Reports indicate that Cohen's will showed his sister will receive over 60 per cent of his property estimated to be worth Sh600 million.
The will, which was opened on Friday, showed Cohen did not leave any property or cash to his wife Sarah Wairimu who is in police custody.
Wairimu is the main suspect in the murder of the millionaire whose body was found dumped at a septic tank in his Kitsuru home.
According to renowned bloggers Robert Alai and Lord Abraham Mutai, Gabrielle should also be treated as a suspect in the murder which has shocked the world.
"Maybe the sister should also be considered a suspect. She is really rushing to get the burial done, inherit property and run away. Maybe she killed the bro. But that, DCI not considering because the boss is being huggy. Jokers!!!" Alai tweeted on Saturday.
Mutai said the fact that Gabrielle has inherited millions from Cohen should make detectives follow a new lead in their probe.
"The sister of Tob Cohen who turns out to be the greatest beneficiary of the Tob Cohen estate should be treated as a suspect. Suppose she arranged for the murder of Tob Cohen to inherit the estate? Why is the DCI not looking into all angles? Why stick to one narrative?" he posed.
