The team was ushered in by Kitui Woman Representative Irene Kasalu. It was the first the the team dubbed as Embrace Kenya is visiting the county.

Homa Bay Woman Representative Gladys Wanga is among senior leaders leading the team and she is expected to lead rallies after the day's activities.

"With colleagues from team @embrace_ke we have arrived safely in Mwingi Town ready to kickoff today’s #EmbraceInKitui event," she said.

"#EmbraceInKitui #TembeaKenya We are in Mwingi... Beautiful Countryside with fresh crisp air... We sure have a beautiful country; every corner; every side adds to the beauty," added Priscilla Nyokabi.

The rally comes a day after Building Bridges Initiative team completed its task after one year of gathering views from a section of Kenyans across the country.

Sources indicate that the BBI team has recommended a raft of changes that would lead to a referendum before 2022 polls.

While President Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila Odinga have vowed to support the recommendations, DP William Ruto has warned that the report ought to be scrutinised.

Embrace team has been rallying for constitutional changes and Friday's rallies in Ukambani would provide yet another platform for supporting BBI outcome.
