The Director of Public Prosecutions Noordin Hajji has said that the working relationship between his office, and other investigative agencies in the country will deliver in the fight against corruption.

Speaking in Mwala sub-county, Haji said that graft has been a cancer eating up the country, insisting that the fighting against it is not lost.

"We have to slay the dragon of corruption and that's why we have combined forces to make the work easier and soon we will deliver to Kenyans," Said Haji.

He disclosed that his office will liaise with courts to ensure petty offenders crowding courts are sorted.

"We are trying to expedite on petty crimes like we won't be charging cases of touting, we have agreed with the IG, we also have plans of traversing counties and talking with the people to know what is affecting them and how we can tackle it," he said. 

Haji had accompanied Inspector General of police Hillary Mutyambai to a fundraising ceremony at St Queen Emmaculate Kasolongo Catholic Church on Sunday.

Other leaders present at the event included; Machakos Women Representative Joyce Kasimbi and Mwala Member of Parliament Vincent Musau.

The legislators applauded IG Mutyambai for doing away with unauthorized road blocks and cracking the whip on rogue VIP drivers.
