Kibra by-election polls scheduled for November 7th continues to elicit emotions and political animosity with ODM team going head-on with Deputy President William Ruto.
Dr Ruto is determined to have McDonald Mariga winning the seat, which has seen ODM field late Ken Okoth's brother Imran Okoth as their candidate.
ODM leader Raila Odinga has also been keen with the polls, a move that saw him lead fundraisers for Mr Imran Okoth in a bid to stamp authority at the constituency which has traditionally backed him.
And on Sunday, Ken Okoth's girlfriend Anne Thumbi, claimed that Mr Okoth used to work closely with Jubilee at the time ODM had issues with goverment.
Her supposed confession could yet again cause anxiety within ODM given than Mr Imran worked as the constituency manager throughout that period.
"The vision which Ken Okoth had, Mariga will be able to complete it. There is a secret I want to tell you, Ken used to work with Jubilee at night, ODM in the daytime. If he worked with Jubilee at daytime, they would have chased him," she said.
"All those roads you're seeing here done by him, he did them by working with the goverment. I am begging you to pick a candidate who will work with the goverment."
Ms Thumbi's name came into limelight during Okoth's memorial service when Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko confessed that the two were lovers.
While the widow Monica Okoth first opposed claims that Ken had a son with Okoth, the two recently reached a consensus when DNA results from both parties tallied.
Although it's not clear how Thumbi relates with Okoth's family, her decision to support Mariga in Kibra polls could escalate tensions in future.
