Speaking to the press in Eldoret town on Tuesday Uasin Gishu County Director of Education Gitonga Mbaka said the students have been readmitted after the ministry intervention and will sit for their examinations from school.

The three have been doing their KCSE while staying out of school in lodging which according to Mbaka is against the law.

“We have intervened and I can confirm that the three ladies after talking with the school management have been readmitted to and will be doing their exams from there,” said the Uasin Gishu County Director of Education.

“It is sad that this had to happen but everything is in order and I want to assure the parents of the three girls that they will do their examinations without any interference, therefore, no call of alarm,” added Mbaka.

The three, all aged 17, were expelled from Moi Girls’ High School in Eldoret due to indiscipline and were barred from school.

One of the girls comes from Eldoret while the other two come from Kisii and Kisumu.
