A South African artist, Sho Madjozi on Thursday released a new hit dubbed 'John Cena'.

The song which uses a combination of Swahili and English lyrics has attracted attention from the East Africa community, especially Kenya and Tanzania who are the Swahili speaking countries. 

Madjozi surprised many of her fans by her prowess rapping in Kiswahili. 

“Unajifanya hunioni labda mimi ni John Cena, ulinifanya mfungwa wako labda mi ni Matiba, sina plan sina cash labda pesa mi sina. Dio maana unanitreta kama nimekuibia, lakini mi nimekupenda though, I don't know why you treat me like a criminal (You pretend you don't see me maybe I'm John Cena, you made me your prisoner maybe I'm Matiba, I have no plan I have no cash maybe I don't have money. That's why you treat me as if I stole from you, but I have loved you...),” reads part of her lyrics.

The South African sensational did another Kiswahili song dubbed 'Huku'.

The song became a hit that Kenya’s African Nouveau festival organizers called her to perform during the event here in Kenya. 

Her energetic performance left many wondering how she came to know the Kiswahili language that much. 

However, it was revealed that So Madjozi once lived in Tanzania and that's why she can speak it with ease. 

This time, her song has hit the international scale after including the words 'John Cena' in her lyrics.
