Cherangani Constituency lawmaker Joshua Kutuny has hit out at deputy president William Ruto's allies who showed up at Mama Ngina Waterfront during the BBI rally in Mombasa.
Speaking at the event held this Saturday, Kutuny mocked DP Ruto's allies for finally changing tunes and recognizing ODM party leader Raila Odinga by his alias, 'Baba'.
The lawmaker said DP Ruto's allies used to call Odinga names some time back and were supposed to ask for forgiveness.
"Today they have come and they have recognized Raila Odinga as 'Baba', but I have not heard them ask for forgiveness after they branded him a witch doctor, shall we spill the beans or not? (leo wamekuja na wametwambia baba ni baba, lakini sijasikia wakiomba msamaha baba, wakati walimwita mganga, tuseme tusiseme...)," Kutuny mocked DP Ruto's allies in a tweet shared by Nation
Some of DP Ruto's allies who had attended the Mombasa BBI rally and addressed Mr Odinga as 'Baba' included Senator Kipchumba Murkomen.
He left the crowd in cheers after he used 'Baba' title while referring to Mr Odinga.
"Our father Raila Odinga we are happy because today it will be remembered for burying hatred of them versus. Kenya is united.(Baba wetu Raila Odinga tumefurahi leo kwa sababu leo itakumbukwa kuwa tumezika uhasama wa 'us versus them.' Kenya imeshikana kuenda mbele pamoja)" he said.
