This is after Imran received an endorsement from Nominated Member of Parliament Maina Kamanda of the ruling Jubilee Party, which has on the other hand fronted McDonald Mariga.

Kamanda on Friday made the declaration at ODM leader Raila Odinga's offices in Capitol Hill, Nairobi, claiming that a number of Jubilee politicians are of the same opinion.

But Weda says that this might harm Imran's chances, considering that he has not been a good man towards Raila, until his truce with President Uhuru Kenyatta, which would make voters wonder why he has suddenly changed.

He claimed that such an endorsement is very likely to push members of the Luo community away from his preferred candidate out of suspicion.

"When you are endorsed by Kamanda it's likely that many Luos will escape from you because of his past where he has been attacking Raila. Unless he said he was sent by Uhuru, he will only push people away from Imran," Weda said.

The High Court advocate made the remarks on KBC English Service's The Big Conversation on Wednesday morning.

He added that it is also very likely that Mariga is being pushed by persons out to familiarize themselves with the Kibra constituency ahead of future elections.

"I think he is being placed for the future by people seeking to take hold of some parts of the city," he added.
