In his blistering tweet, the Senior Counsel employed unflattering adjectives to describe the judiciary, calling it rotten, adjectives that did not sit well with Ogolla.

"Seriously don't we as Kenyans need a national dialogue and debate on the state of our ritten judiciary? Can we continue suffering under a Supreme Court and High Court that are not fit  for purpose? What are our options now that Jubilee and the Office of the President own the JSC?" Ahmednasir's tweet read.

Replying to the tweet by Ahmednasir, Ogolla said it was wrong for his colleague to lash out at the judiciary in a manner that exposes it to ridicule.

He opined that instead of criticising the judiciary, the Senior Counsel  should be defending its honour.

"Honestly, SC. This is objectionable and unfair. I mean, really, you should fight to defend the judiciary, not exposing the institution to ridicule. No, that's not cool, " the tweet read.

Ahmednasir has over the years proved himself to be a strong critic of the judiciary, calling it out for corruption on his Twitter feed and in panel discussions on television.

The judiciary has long battled corruption allegations.

Chief Justice David Maraga has confessed to corruption being in the judiciary, saying that he is doing all he can to drastically reduce it.
