Writing on Twitter on Tuesday, the flamboyant lawyer appeared to respond to the criticisms of those questioning why members of the BBI steering committee have not featured in the meetings that have been held in the Kisii and Kakamega counties.

He said that Senator Yusuf Haji, a member of the BBI steering committee would be in charge of the task force while President Uhuru Kenyatta and the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader Raila Odinga would be in charge of the rallies.

''Haji is in charge of Task Force ... President & Baba are in charge of the rallies, '' the renowned lawyer said in a reply to a social media user who raised a concern about the BBI meetings.

The next BBI rally will be held in the port city of Mombasa on 25, Saturday and will be graced by the leader of the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Raila Odinga.

Jubilee leaders allied to the Deputy President Dr William Ruto announced on Tuesday that they would be part of the upcoming meetings, a reversal from their previous position that they would not attend the meetings because they were political in nature.

It is not yet clear whether the members of the steering committee will grace the upcoming meetings.
