Former Kakamega Senator Dr Boni Khalwale on Thursday claimed that there are two Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) reports.
Speaking in a morning show on K24, the outspoken politician claimed that the first BBI report one is the one presented to the public at the Bomas of Kenya. Khakwale said that the second BBI report is the one that the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) is keen on pushing through.
"There are two BBIs; there is the BBI that was launched in Bomas which the whole country is supporting, then there is the BBI that ODM now wants to re-write," the former legislator said.
Khalwale's opinion is similar to that of the Deputy President William Ruto's allies who have claimed that ODM leader Raila Odinga is keen on revising the BBI report to satisfy his political interests.
Mr Odinga has denied those allegations, saying that the BBI is about uniting Kenyans and stopping the divisions that have characterised past elections.
Some of the leaders have proposed that the BBI accommodates a powerful prime minister, who will not serve at the pleasure of the president.
Kenyans will give their views in the coming weeks on the aspects that they want to be revised.
