Musician Esther Akoth popularly known Akothee on Saturday addressed claims that she was planning to join politics.
In a message shared on her Instagram page, Akothee dismissed allegations that she was interested in joining politics.
The mother of five went ahead to cite that she is not knowledgeable on political matters and therefore is not interested in becoming a politician.
"My wall is not a political ground! Neither am I a politician! I dont even know one head or tail of politics! Stop running away from reality I can't even count for you upto 10 members of parliament! I am not even sure of the real names of members of parliament in MIGORI COUNTY or MOMBASA COUNTY where I live," part of Akothee's Instagram post read.
She noted that she is totally not into politics as she was happy at her current status.
The controversial singer also warned her followers against expressing political views on her page threatening that she will block anyone who did so.
"ME AND POLITICS IS A NO GO ZONE , I am happy in my Unique seat PRESIDENT OF SINGLE MOTHERS ASSOCIATION. as A Kenyan you have a right to exercise your political rights but not on my wall," Akothee noted.
The singer last week visited the Parliament to invite Members of Parliament to support her foundation which is aimed at helping the needy in the society.
