A team of K24 Digital journalist visited Komarock Phase 5A Estate in Nairobi, where the guard was working to ascertain why she was attacked.

K24 Digital learnt that the male attacker visited the apartments under unclear reasons.

At first, he told the female guard, Damaris, that he was going to visit a friend in room 45. He later changed and said he was going to room 42.

However, when Damaris was checking his details, another person who lives at the estate came in. Justin took advantage of the open gate and drove in.

He again changed his story and said that he was dropping his clients at the apartment.

Moments later, he drove at the gate and asked to be allowed out, however, Damaris objected and requested to check his details first.

Justin walked out of his vehicle and opened the gate for himself.

Damaris came out of her office to lock the gate, but her efforts were met with slaps and blows from Justin.

He pushed her hard on the ground before he started slapping and giving her blows.

Damaris was saved by occupants in Justin's car, a man and a woman.

Speaking to K24 Digital, Damaris's fellow security guard noted that they were not around when this incidence happened.

“At the time we were patrolling the estate, if we were there we could have prevented that shameful incident,” said one of the security guards.

Residents in the compound condemned this act.

''As an estate we condemn this, she is one of our own, we cannot tolerate this kind of violence against women,” said the estate committee as quoted by K24 Digital.

Damaris reported the matter to the police.

The DCI vowed to make sure Justin faced the law.

He was arrested on Tuesday evening, while investigations into the matter continue.
