Eulogizing Laboso at a requiem mass at the All Saints Cathedral Nairobi on Thursday morning, Waiguru narrated how she had difficult time grabbing Laboso’s phone so as she could get ample time to respond to treatment.

“Despite being in pain, she always wanted to know how things were unfolding at home, especially at Bomet County and inside the Jubilee Government. She always wanted  to make phone calls to inquire on several issues," Waiguru noted.

The Kirinyaga Governor who was speaking in a sombre mood, explained how together with other leaders, they had been frequently visiting the ailing Laboso abroad.

“Some of us who had visited her in India noticed that she did not want to get rid of her phone, that was partly because she wanted to occasionally make follow up to the progress of development programs in her county and the nation as a whole. Infact at one time I had to grab her phone from her so as to give her space to rest," she added.

Waiguru alongside Kitui Governor Charity Ngilu vowed to step up and ensure Laboso's ideologies are implemented in various counties.
