The teachers conducted a series of offences in line of duty including engaging in sexual relations with students.

The teachers will now no longer be eligible to work in any of the schools in the country after they were deregistered from the TSC records.

TSC Chief Executive Officer Nancy Macharia said that the teachers have since been scrapped from the TSC registered and they cannot teach even in private schools following their bad behaviour.

“In exercise of powers conferred by section 30(1) (e) of TSC Act, the commission wishes to notify the public that the persons whose names appear in the notice have been deregistered,” said Mrs Macharia, as quoted by Daily Nation.

The teachers who were fired committed the offences between March and June this year.

Macharia said that no one is eligible to pursue a career in teaching anywhere in the country after the ban“A person shall not engage in the teaching service unless such a person is registered,” said Mrs Macharia.

She also reminded the teachers not to go against the rules of operations lest they are sacked from their jobs.

She also noted that cases of teachers engaging in sexual offences with students among other offenses have become rampant in schools.
