It is good to have expectations in a relationship. However, there are certain things you shouldn't expect from your man.
Here are three things you should never expect your man to do.
1. Give up his friends
Men rarely give up their friends just because you want them to. You can try as much as you can to convince him to ditch his friends but you will hardly succeed. Men value their friends a lot especially if they came into their lives before you.
2. To be at the centre of your happiness
It would be good for him to make you happy and most men strive to do this for their women. However, as a woman, you shouldn't have this as an expectation. Your happiness depends on you as true happiness comes from within. Your man is only there to try to make your life more enjoyable. The same applies you, he shouldn't expect you to be the source of his happiness.
3. To choose you over his mother
The bond between a mother and her child is unbreakable. Just like you wouldn't want him to make you choose him over your parents, don't expect him to choose you over his mum. If you are having issues with your mother-in-law, speak to your man and come up with solutions to the problem. It is ok to set boundaries but always strive to have a cordial relationship with his mother.
