Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader Raila Odinga left his audience in stitches on Thursday at a Bidco Company event in Ruiru, Kiambu.
This is after Raila recalled his 'Resist' movement, a group formed to rally opposition supporters to boycott 'pro-government' companies.
Among the companies in the 'Resist' blacklist was Bidco Company which produces consumer products.
Members had claimed that Bidco and other companies had colluded with the government to doctor the results of the 2017 presidential election.
"Our people had engaged in what we call 'Resist' movement and as they say when two elephants are fighting it is the grass that suffers. Bidco was one of those companies that were on the list of 'Resist', " Raila Odinga said, triggering laughter.
It is only after the dramatic handshake between Odinga and President Uhuru Kenyatta, erstwhile political adversaries, that the ban on the products of companies in the list of the movement.
Bidco inaugurated Sh20 billion industrial park which Raila said would create employment opportunities for Kenyans.
Vimal Shah, who is the chairman of Bidco, revealed that the industrial park which is located on an 80-acre piece of land will host the company's food and beverage processing factories.
