Bomet Governor the late Dr Joyce Laboso's husband Dr Edwin Abonyo, in a moment of hilarity amid gloom on Thursday revealed how President Uhuru Kenyatta made him to literally sweat.
Speaking at the All Saints' Cathedral Dr Obonyo related how one day he found three missed calls from Uhuru.
"There is a time he called me, I had put my phone on silent. Then I came and found three missed calls. I have never sweated in my life. I didn't know what to do," Laboso's husband said in a video shared on YouTube triggering laughter. (9;48-10:00)
Dr Abonyo would manage later to speak to President Uhuru who would ask him a 'simple' question that helped reduce the tension he had.
He also expressed his gratitude to the president for the support that he gave the family of the late governor.
The late governor's husband also thanked the Deputy President Dr William Ruto for also supporting and encouraging Dr Joyce Laboso's family not to despair.
Dr Laboso's remains will be airlifted to Koru in Kisumu County where she will be laid to rest.
She died after a long battle with cancer at a Nairobi hospital while still undergoing treatment.
