ODM Director of Communications Philip Etale has weighed in on the arrest of Gatundu South Member of Parliament Moses Kuria.
In a tweet on Friday, Etale wondered why the Royal Media Service has remained silent on the assault case facing the lawmaker, yet the incident occurred within its premises.
“But why was the Royal Media Services company silent on the assault issue? Did they have to wait for the victim to come out and shout about it?’ he tweeted.
The lawmaker was arrested on Friday for allegedly assaulting a lady identified as Joyce Wanja.
Kuria had reportedly been invited for a funds drive for orphans at the facility before the incident occurred.
"I told him he was talking about matters which were irrelevant to the event at hand and more so, inappropriate for children and faithful," she said.
Shortly after his arrest, Kuria was taken to Kilimani Police Station for questioning over the issue.
The arrest came after the complainant formally launched a complaint with the police.
