Senators from Jubilee wing were openly divided along Kieleweke and Tangatanga factions during a fierce debate on Tuesday.

A committee chosen by Senate Majority Leader Kipchumba Murkomen to investigate the claims was rejected by senators, which called for a committee of the whole house to handle the matter.

But Ole Kina notes that the house is divided and could vote along political persuasion without considering the merit.

"Nikubaya (Things are not looking good)... interest interests interest ... enyewe (truly) Jubilee is 💯 % divided! Senate is about to demonstrate just how rotten we are in Kenya! Integrity! You either have it or you don’t! #Kiambu #waitingforyou," he tweeted.

According to the ODM lawmaker, the Senate has since lost integrity, adding that it after all never had credibility.

"Integrity test in the Senate today! We have absolutely lost it! Wait we never had it! Bure kabisa," the first-term lawmaker added.

Senators allied to Deputy President William Ruto are keen to have Waititu vindicated while those who are pro-Uhuru Kenyatta want him sent home.

Waititu is also battling a corruption case in which he's accused of swindling over Sh588 million through unscrupulous tenders in Kiambu.
