The World Health Organization (WHO) on Saturday condemned Tanzania for handling most probable Ebola cases in the country in a hesitant manner over the month.
WHO actively rebuked Tanzania for failing to dispense information that reflects the Ebola infection within its boundaries.
A statement presented earlier by WHO claimed that the Tanzanian government held important information away from the International community which could have helped to erase the outbreak from the country.
The deadly infection devastated eastern Congo for several months claiming more than 2000 lives.
WHO said that they received information that two fatal Ebola cases took place in Dar es Saalam, however, when they asked Tanzania government for further information they were given none.
Tanzania, on the other hand, said that they haven't received any confirmed cases of the same.
The WHO was briefed about the faintly threatening Ebola cases in Tanzania in the instant after a person suspected to be infected by the disease appeared in the country's capital Dar es Salaam.
An attempt by WHO to carry out blood test were deflated after the Tanzanian government claimed that Ebola was long erased from their borders.
The latest Ebola update manifested itself in the parts of eastern Congo.
Uganda has remained vigilant in eliminating any slight spread into their country.
CNN reports that the deadly disease had also claimed the lives of more than 11000 people in the period between 2014 to 2016 in parts of West Africa.
“The limited available official information from Tanzanian authorities represents a challenge,” the WHO said in a statement quoted by Washington Post.
“Clinical data, results of the investigations, possible contacts, and potential laboratory tests performed ... have not been communicated to WHO.”
The disease isn't anything to be overlooked as it can spread quite easily. Measures need to be laid to maintain it, including hand-washing regimes and quarantines.
