Tottenham Hotspur head coach Jose Mourinho on Tuesday talked about Victor Wanyama's situation at the club.
Wanyama has run short of playing time at the London based club after the arrival of the highly-rated Portuguese tactician.
On Tuesday during a pre-match media conference, Mourinho said Wanyama is still a Tottenham player and that the two have not discussed a possible transfer.
According to the coach, Wanyama has not told him his willingness to leave the club.
"He’s our player. If he wants to leave or not, he didn't tell me, we didn't discuss," he said. "We are calm about it. Good professional. That’s it," said Mourinho as quoted by Football London.
Mourinho said he is now focused on the future and not the current situation at the club.
Tottenham is the second club the technician has joined in the middle of the season after he did the same with FC Porto.
He then won everything with the club in the following season, including highly coveted Champions League
"It’s the second time in such a long career that I come to a club mid-season and I think I have to go with more eyes on the future than the rest of the season and especially eyes to the past, now let’s try to ignore the past and focus on what we have ahead," he added.
