Popular Kenyan musician Akothee turned to the public to seek help in providing food and water to the people living in Turkana through Akothee foundation.
In a short video clip the that the musician shared on her Instagram page on Saturday, she claimed she alone cannot fully provide for the needy people in the community and thus she needed support from all the stakeholders.
She also challenged people to help those they do not know citing that the more one gives is the more he or she will receive.
"You get so much blessings in giving other than receiving. What have you done for your neighbor? What have you done for your parents, what have you done for the people you don't know?
I am here to represent all of you. That is why we have Akothee foundation The foundation was formed to improve the livelihood of the disadvantage in the society. An idea which was nurtured by my strong desire to give back to the society.
The pay bill below is for the have nots, like the people in Turkana they need you. Akothee foundation is me and you, I can't do it alone. I love you so much and thank you for your support," said Akothee.
The call for help comes shortly after Akothee extended her invitation to members of parliament to help her in providing a better livelihood for people living in Turkana.
