The leaders have been accusing Ngilu of failing to fulfill the promises she made to the people when she was seeking election into the position.

Ngilu is facing an uphill task after Yatta/Kwa Vonza Ward MCA John Kisangau, who was elected on Narc Party also joined those opposed to her leadership.

Mr Kisangau resigned as Narc’s minority leader after he fell out with Ngilu. In his resignation speech, he said that he is tired of living a lie and is not ready to be judged because of someone else’s failure.

He also promised to work with other leaders opposed to Ngilu’s style of leading to shoot down several motions and budgets meant to benefit the people.

He has since faulted the county boss for what he terms as poor planning.

He also argues that the first term governor has proven beyond doubt that she cannot deliver on the various promises she made to the residents of the area.

The lawmaker also said that the region is bound to fail unless Ngilu changes the way she does her things in the near future.

“The governor has totally failed in planning. We have a very good County Integrated Development Plan but with zero activity towards achieving the desired results,” Kisangau told Sunday Standard.

Senator Enoch Wambua  has also said that the projects started by the governor are not progressing well.

He has since asked for the audit of different projects started by the county government of Kitui under the leadership of Ngilu including as Kitui County Textile Centre (Kicotec).

He wants the projects audit to determine whether the funds are being utilised properly.
