Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko has threatened to expose deadbeat politicians in the country.
The county boss has already issued two telephone numbers to women with children sired with politicians, but the latter refused to take responsibility or has avoided them.
The governor said there are many deadbeat dads in the country, after allegations emerged that late Kibra Member of Parliament Ken Okoth’s family differed over the paternity of his alleged son.
Sonko has asked women with children from deadbeat dads to share their photos, full names, and videos of the father of their children to expose them to the entire world.
“From today all great women of this country, if there is an MP, Senator, Governor, civil servant or businessman who has impregnated you and denied responsibility send me their details we expose him and seek DNA tests when he is still alive,” he said as quoted by Standard.
He also dismissed Suba North MP Millie Odhiambo and nominated Senator Isaac Mwaura after they termed him disrespectful following the expose he made during Okoth’s memorial at the Moi Girls High School in Kibra.
Sonko said he was aware of an affair between Ken and nominated MCA Anne Thumbi.
Thumbi had moved to court to oppose the burial of the late lawmaker before the paternity case was determined.
