Uasin Gishu Governor Jackson Mandago has put on notice police bosses protecting those involved in the sale of illegal liquor in the county.
He says it's sad that despite the efforts of both the County and National government fighting illicit alcohol, there still are people protecting them.
"I want to give a stern warning to some OCS's protecting those involved in selling and taking illegal alcohol that their days are numbered and will soon face the full force of the law," said the Uasin Gishu County boss.
Speaking in Eldoret town on Wednesday, Mandago said he will not stay mum while the future of many in the county is at stake.
"We said as a county we want to be drug and alcohol free particulary to our young people. We want a sober generation that we can depend on to transform this county and country at large," added Mandago.
Mandago further called on the courts to do away with lenient terms of those involved in the illegal business citing that it is a killer just like those who murder people with machetes.
He warned that the county government will revoke licenses for liquor operators found flouting the law.
