Detectives in Kericho are looking for three suspects captured on camera entering the house of the slain Rai Cement boss Chetan Vyas before he was found dead.
Vyas was on Tuesday found dead at his house in Sigowet/Soin constituency within the factory premises located in Kericho County.
According to Kericho Deputy Police Commander Paul Nasio, the people who allegedly killed him accessed the house through the roof.
“They lifted the tiles from the roof, gaining access to the house through the kitchen store before proceeding to the bedroom where Siaz was sleeping,” Nasio said.
His remains were found with the legs and hands tied with a rope.
Another rope was found around his neck, showing that he might have been tortured before being strangled to death.
According to the police report, the suspects accessed his house after disconnecting the exterior CCTV camera.
However, cameras in the house captured them. Unfortunatley, they were wearing masks hence could not be identified.
They also took some bags from the house. The contents of the bags are still not known as police continue with investigations.
His body was taken to Kisumu County Hospital mortuary.
