Speaking during Muliro's memorial service at his home in Sibanga, Mudavadi said despite giving them invitation letters, they did not show up.

Only a handful of MPs from Western Kenya attended the function, something the irked Mudavadi.

"I want to confirm that I have the MPs invitation letters and it's sad that they ignored the function and they didn't even send their apologies," said Mudavadi.

He said that MPs from the region have been turned into beggars and they are always seen with Deputy President William Ruto dancing to his tune in exchange for cash.

"I am really sad that some Members of Parliament from the Luhya nation see it's better for them to go play and dance music in Sugoi instead of coming to pay respect to our hero Masinde Muliro. Their days are numbered,"  said the ANC  party leader.

MPs who attended the memorial service include Kiminini MP Chris Wamalwa, Kanduyi MP Wafula Wamunyinyi, Cherangany MP Joshua Kutuny among others.
