Uasin Gishu County on Tuesday launched the issuance of the digitized business permit system.
According to Uasin Gishu County Secretary Edwin Bett, this will help in easing congestion in service delivery to the public.
"We have launched this system to ensure that as a government we hit our Sh1 billion target in revenue collection. Our aim is to ensure that we collect revenue across the county where our client can pay online at the convenience of their homes," said the County Secretary.
Bett who spoke to the press during the launch urged the business community to pay their revenue to help government run its business.
"Paying your revenues on time helps you to carry out your businesses operations environment without engaging the County enforcing officers," added Bett.
He revealed that revenue streams in the County headquarters and Sub-county offices are being provided to ensure that customers are served at their own convenience and increase efficiency without much queuing.
CEC in charge of trade Emily Kogos encouraged clients to pay their rates through M-Pesa paybill when getting business permit since its an easy and convenient way.
She called on residents to embrace digital payment of revenue since it reduces queues and enhances transparency.
