This came only hours after Anti-Corruption Court Magistrate Lawrence Mugambi ordered Governor Ferdinand Waititu to keep off county offices until his graft case is heard and determined.

Speaking on KTN News' The Big Story Tuesday night, Omari expressed his worries over the speedy takeover, terming it a show of over-ambition from the deputy county boss.

He noted that Nyoro needs some help and advise on how to conduct himself.

"Nyoro is very ambitious. He needs to get counsel," Omari said.

The lawyer insisted that the ruling does not render the seat vacant, translating it as a mere variation of the governor from physically availing himself at the county offices.

"There is no vacancy for the Governor's position in Kiambu. There is only a physical barring," he added.

Waititu who was arrested on Sunday alongside his wife Susan Wangare and a group of county officials and businessmen alleged to have dealt with the county was released on an Sh15 million cash bail.

However, the governor and his wife spent another night in prison after failing to process their bails on time.
