Francis Atwoli, the Cotu boss has again reiterated his statement that DP William Ruto will not assume the presidency in 2022.
Addressing mourners on Friday during the final send-off for Lay canon Naftali Onyango in Busia County, Atwoli pointed an accusing finger to the DP.
This is after he claimed that Ruto was determined to frustrate efforts by the head of state in bringing the country together via Building Bridges Initiative (BBI).
"You cannot frustrate your boss when he is still in power. The DP made a gross mistake by showing his interest in presidency very early," Atwoli noted, as quoted by Standard.
The trade unionist also clarified that BBI has nothing about politics, only that it sought to ensure that Kenyans were brought together.
He at the same time pledged to rally behind BBI in attempts to seek entire country's prosperity and peace too.
Atwoli said President Uhuru Kenyatta and ODM leader Raila were up for the good of the nation, calling upon all politicians to rally behind the BBI move, as it would be the lasting solution to any post-election violence.
"It is our children who are killed and maimed after the General Elections. The solution to post-election violence is BBI," he noted.
