The family of slain Dutch business tycoon Tob Cohen has said that it trusts the government pathologists that will conduct a postmortem on his body to determine the cause and nature of his death.
Speaking exclusively to Royal Media Services-owned Citizen Television on Tuesday, the family's lawyer Cliff Ombeta said that the two government pathologists, Johansen Oduor and Kimani, were professionals who could be trusted.
The family's pathologist was expected to be present during the postmortem but had not arrived at the time of writing this article.
"What we will do is if there will be two government pathologists as we are hearing, Johansen and Kimani, we will work with them if our own pathologist would not have arrived because these two are professionals and are people we can trust ("Kitu tutakachofanya ni kwamba kama kutakuwa at least na hao wapasuaji ambao ni waserikali na tunasikia ni wawili, Johansen na mwingine ambaye anaitwa Kimani basi ikiwa huyu wetu hatakuwa amefika kwa huo muda ambao tunamtarajia basi tutaendelea na hao wengine ambao wako kwa sababu ni professionals na ni watu ambao tunaweza amini), " Cliff Ombeta said. Information gathered from the postmortem will be used as evidence in a murder case in a court of law where it is being prosecuted.
Sarah Wairimu, who is the chief suspect in the murder and the wife of Cohen, has strongly denied the murder charges leveled against her.
