In the application, Wangari asked the court to block Karanja from interacting with the children until the murder case of late billionaire Tob Cohen is heard and determined.

Karanja and several others were arrested in connection with Cohen's murder.

In her application, Wangari claimed the children could have stigma, anguish, possible ridicule, and stress if they interact with their father.

“It is important that his true character be exposed before the honourable court can grant him any orders of access and interaction with the children,” she said as quoted by Nation.

“That it will not for the best interest of justice [and] fairness for the minor to interact with the respondent, a person suspected of acts of violence, murder and immorality until the criminal process against the accused is finalised and verdict made,” she added.

In the application, the legislator further claimed that Karanja had failed in his responsibilities as a father, adding that she has been the one catering for the needs of the kids.
