DJ Kriss who has been the host in the weekly show will now focus on Kibra politics after his contract was mutually terminated by the executives.

Justus Tharao, NTV’s Head of Production and Programming, who confirmed the contract termination revealed that it was a decision that both parties agreed on. DJ Kriss will, however, host two more shows before leaving to try his luck in capturing the vacant Kibra seat.

“Kris has made his decision that he is getting into politics and as per the editorial policy, he left us with no choice but to terminate his contract as the host of the Jam Rock Reggae Show. This decision was mutual between both parties. We wish him well in his future endeavours. He will, however, host two more shows to bid the fans bye,” said Tharao in a statement.

The budding politician will, however, have to battle out with other ODM hopefuls after he made the 10-man preliminary list set for Saturday showdown.

The other candidates who are going to seek ODM's ticket alongside DJ Kriss are OKello Oguwa, Peter Ochieng Orero, Tony Ogola Sira Sine, Reuben William Ayako Ojijo, Obaricks Eric Ochieng Obayi, Brian Shem Owino, Benson Musungu, John Milla Otieno and Bernard Otieno Okoth.

ODM party has since issued a warning to its candidates against engaging in election malpractices as this will lead to stern actions taken.

''A candidate who will go against the rules of nomination and engage in electoral malpractices including causing violence and disturbance will automatically be disqualified and further punitive measures taken against him as prescribed in the rules of the nomination,'' tweeted ODM.
