Daniel Jaoko, a manager at Ray Green Hotel was charged with shooting Peter Otieno in the early hours of August 17 after a disagreement at the parking lot of a Kisumu estate.

He was arraigned before Senior Resident Magistrate Angeline Odawo who granted the prosecution's request to hold him for more time.

The magistrate directed that the suspect be held at at the Kodiaga Prison pending his arraignment on August 29, 2019.

He is expected to take a plea to murder changes on Thursday, reports the Standard

This comes only a few days after he was again remanded after appearing before Senior Resident Magistrate Joselyn Kimmeto at the Winam Law Courts.

The prosecution argued that the police handling the case needed more time to analyse the spent cartridges found on the scene and were also awaiting a report on the pathological test carried out on Otieno's body.

The suspect is said to have shot the deceased three times on the chest after he (Otieno) complained that Jaoko's vehicle was blocking his vehicle's way out of the estate.

The suspect is said to have committed the murder using his Cesca gun.
