The former Vice President has been questioning the Jubilee government over the tax burden, saying that he can sort the ailing economy.

The trade unionist on Saturday openly lectured him and reminded him that he cannot make any changes from outside the government.Speaking at the Bukhungu Stadium in Kakamega County, he encouraged Mudavadi to first secure a government position to make a difference.

"These statements about you bettering the economy, whose economy can you solve from the streets?" he posed.

He acknowledged Mudavadi's ability to save the situation, terming it the reason why he has been pushing for the expansion of the executive.

According to Atwoli, there is need for Mudavadi to secure an entry into government, an ideology he has been pushing since 2017.

"You cannot better the Kenyan economy without being in government. That's why in 2017 I said that we need to revisit our constitution, create more seats and include Mudavadi," he added.

The trade unionist has been pushing for changes to introduce the Prime Minister seat and two more for the Deputy Prime Ministers.

On his side, Mudavadi has been of the opinion that the changes must be more about looking into the well being of Kenyans more than politicians.
