Chaos erupted yet again as Nairobi Members of County Assembly tried for the second time to eject from office embattled speaker Beatrice Elachi.
There was screaming as the irate MCAs demanded that the speaker leaves office.
The development comes a few weeks after chaos engulfed the Nairobi County Assembly after the speaker was reinstated back to office by a court of law.
The chaos and confusion mark another escalation in the tussle between the Nairobi County speaker and a section of governing Jubilee party MCAs.
Elachi has long claimed that the hostility against her has to do with her refusal to grant the green light for the embezzlement of county funds.
She has also claimed that the hostility towards her is being sponsored by Majority Leader in the County Assembly Ibrahim Guyo.
The MCAs say that she is high-handed.
Among the high profile leaders who have thrown their weight behind the Nairobi speaker is Homa Bay women rep Gladys Wanga, who warned those fighting Elachi that they would not have it easy.
The chaos is also an indication that attempts to diffuse the tensions have not yielded much success.
Elachi had called for the Jubilee secretary general Raphael Tuju to swing into action to prevent the situation from escalating.
