Kiharu Member of Parliament Ndindi Nyoro has told off ODM Leader Raila Amolo Odinga for demanding the resignation of Deputy President William Ruto. In a Facebook post, Nyoro said that Ruto deserves to be part of Kenya. He argued that Kenya doesn’t belong to the dynasties alone.
“Nonsense! Kenya doesn't belong to a few monarchies. Kenya belongs to all of us. The haves and have nots. The high and the lowly. Dynasties and sons of nobodies. Kila mtu ako na shares za Kenya(Everyone has their share in Kenya) and we have equal voting rights. Mmetuzoea Sana nyinyi (You have now started to develop a habit) - you know yourselves! Ruto must go kwani anakaa kwenu? We are African and Africa is our Business” he posted.
On Friday, Raila demanded for the resignation of the second in command over graft claims. He said that Ruto and his team should reveal the source of millions they donate in churches on Sundays.
“Which individual can have such money? You are bringing crowds and crowds of people each and every day slaughtering chicken and paying for their transport and giving them petty cash, what is the source of such cash?” wondered Raila
The opposition leader also said that Ruto has proven that he has no interests of Kenyans at heart by looting public resources. The remarks have not augured well with Ruto's allies.
