Former Kibwezi Member of Parliament Kalembe Ndile has hailed Sonko for his valour.
Addressing the press in Machakos on Saturday, Kalembe termed Sonko as a leader who has proven that he can deliver.
Flanked by former Taita MP Jackson Mwalulu, Kalembe commended Sonko’s efforts to defend the public from abuse by the rich.
“I have seen him defend poor residents from grassroots to the national level" he said.
He said in the spirit of nationalism, Sonko donated relief food and other items to residents of Turkana, who were facing starvation due to the drought situation in the area.
"As the Good Deeds Ambassador, Sonko vowed to continue offering his support to the needy and vulnerable members of the society" Kalembe told the press.
Meanwhile, Governor Sonko has been accused of impropriety in the issuance of garbage tender.
Sonko was questioned twice last week by the authorities,this is after being grilled for hours by the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission.
Also, the governor was questioned by Kenya Revenue Authority officials.
