The court workers and police officers decided to raise the cash after they came across a 10-year-old girl crying in the corridors after the father was arrested.

Citizen Digital reports that when the staff asked the young girl why she was shedding tears, she said that she was stranded after the father was charged in court. It was at this point that the officers realised that the man was a father of three and he had no wife.

The young girl also narrated how she had accompanied the brother with their two-year-old sibling to the court. They were hopeful that the court would set their father free but that didn’t happen as they anticipated.

The father had been escorted to a prison about a half a kilometer from the court. The officers decided to rally each other to help the family raise the said amount.

They managed to raise Sh11, 500 within an hour.

The suspect, John Mugaa who hails from Kulamawe in Isiolo town, was later released after the intervention of the officers.
