Imarisha Sacco Society Limited on Friday launched it's Front Office Services Activities (FOSA) branch in Eldoret town.
Speaking during the launch, Uasin Gishu Governor Jackson Mandago said the Sacco will help in training and giving loans to small business enterprises.
“I am happy to launch FOSA branch for Imarisha Sacco Society Limited because it is going to enhance our quest to uplift our SME’s who will need small loans here and there and improve financial literacy,” Mandago said.
Mandago reiterated that they will partner with Imarisha Sacco on Inua Biashara to help small business people to grow their ventures.
“The products they offer cater for everybody that is from a hawker to a bodaboda, to mama mboga to a contactor to a person running a butchery all of them can get loans at affordable rates,” added Mandago.
He, however, called on residents to inculcate the culture of saving in Cooperatives since the principle of cooperatives is you save before you borrow.
Mandago further said the members can be trained on matters finance, how to manage loans and keep their books of record.
