Christ is about unity and not disunity or dismembering flock," he said on Sunday.
He claimed that police officers who have been deployed to handle the situation have since expressed bias, further worsening the image of the church before the other denominations.
He also called upon the warring sides to cede ground and shelve their selfish interests for the same of the church.

"In the meantime, I am asking the entire SDA faith the world over to take a day to fast for Maxwell SDA church. I am appealing to the warring factions to shelve their selfish considerations and ordinances for the good of the church and the gospel,” he said.
Matiangi and Maraga have since shifted to the Kerengata Church in Karen.
