Popular TV host Tony Gachoka has taken a swipe at Senate Majority Leader Kipchumba Murkomen claiming he is suffering from 'inferiority complex'.
This is after Murkomen disapproved the move by world marathon champion Eliud Kipchoge to sue NRG Radio over rights violations.
Kipchoge on Friday, through his lawyer Donald Kipkorir, threatened to take the local radio station to court on grounds they re-branded using his name and images without his consent.
However, Murkomen found fault with the move and urged the athlete to avoid legal battles with the station by overlooking the issue.
Blaming his lawyer foe the decision, the senator opined it was unnecessary for Kipchoge to sue NRG Radio, which he said was merely excited by the marathoner's victory in the INEOS 1:59 Challenge.
"I would advise Eliud Kipchoge against unnecessary legal battles with entities like NRG Radio merely excited with his fete. It waters down the good name of Kipchoge. Concerns raised shouldn’t have been in the form of legal threats. A phone call is enough. He was terribly misled," Murkomen tweeted.
Reacting to the remarks, Gachoka claimed the senator felt offended by the fact Kipkorir was the one representing and had urged Kipchoge to sue the station.
Revisiting his recent arrest at Diani airstrip, the Point Blank Show host mocked Murkomen saying he appeared to celebrate after he was apprehended.
"Donald Kipkorir, this guy Murkomen has an inferiority complex; what does he want with your client Eliud Kipchoge? Your instructions have caused him mental anguish. Stealing makes it difficult to appreciate work. Recently he was peddling that I be arrested for enjoying my life," Gachoka said.
