Administration Police officers with the assistance of Ithanga location sub-chief Francis Mutie have nabbed 440 litres of illicit brew very early in the morning of March 9, 2016.
According to Mutie four men were making the brew where they fled after seeing the police officers.
"We managed to nab 440 litres of illicit brew during our crackdown in Kituamba area. The owners escaped but we have launched a manhunt to arrest them," said Mutie.
He reiterated that the place has become a black spot for such activities following that they nabbed 1500litres of the brew on March 2, 2016.
Mutie urged residents to avoid such activities as the end result of taking such brew is death.
He noted that many young people in the area have become desperate in life, dropping out of school and engaging themselves in taking the illicit liquor which is a way of shortening their lives.
He also warned those people running the illegal business to cease as he will not get tired of carrying out investigations and arresting them.
