Speaking during the burial of ODM politician Johnston Gasenge in Chosongoch, Marakwet East constituency on Saturday, Orengo said that DP Ruto should record as statement if he had any information that would assist in the mega corruption case.

According to a report by KTN News, Orengo who also doubles up as a lawyer, offered to assist DP Ruto in recording the statement.

"I am telling Deputy President William Ruto that if he has information that indicate there was no theft, then he should go and record a statement that will show where this Sh21 billion that has costed Rotich his job is. He should show so that we can know where the truth lies. And if he does not have a lawyer, then he should call me I go assist him in recording the statement.

(Mimi namwambia Deputy President Ruto yakwamba kama ana habari yakwamba hakukuwa na wizi, aende akaandikishe statement ya kuonyesha hizi Sh21 billion ambao maskini wa mungu Rotich ameachishwa kazi, aonyeshe ili tujue ukweli uko wapi. Na kama hana wakili aniiite niende nikamsaidie kuandikkisha statement)," James Orengo stated in a report by KTN News.

Early this week the former former National Treasury Cabinet Secretary Henry Rotich was arrested and charged in connection with the Sh63 billion Aror and Kimwarer corruption case.
