Kenyans have been urged to continue praying for the unity of this county, as the date for the 2022 general elections draws nearer.
Speaking at the Jomo Kenyatta sports ground in Kisumu on Thursday, Power of Jesus Around the Word Church’s Arch-Bishop Washington Ogonyo Ngede said that the country is headed towards the right direction and that Kenyans should continue praying for the unity of purpose even as the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) continues to take shape.
“This country is heading towards the right direction. We are building bridges of taking us up there (Heaven), not on this world. Continue praying so that Kenya remains one,” said the Clergyman.
He spoke during a meeting to mark 50 years of the Deliverance Church International, presided over by Bishop Mark Kariuki.
Kariuki who based his sermon on the Bible’s book of Joel 2:25 declared that locusts which have invaded several areas of the country should turn and go back to where they came from.
“At the Kenyatta grounds Kisumu Kenya, we raise our fingers and tell all those locusts which have come from Somalia, Ethiopia, Yemen and other places to turn and go back to where they came from in Jesus name,” Bishop Mark Kariuki declared.
