Clan clashes at Nkararo-Enooretet border in Transmara, Narok County on Saturday left various people with arrow injuries.
Confirming this incidence, Interior Chief Administrative Secretary Patrick Ole Ntutu told Citizen Digital that the clans involved in the clashes have been warned.
“We will not tolerate government individuals who are going to cause insecurity in Nkararo…we are taking up the matter seriously and anyone found will be arrested and charged.” said Ntutu as quoted by Citizen Digital.
The renewed clash saw a police officer, who had been deployed to guard the border that separates the two fighting clans, badly injured.
Despite a heavy security team of GSU officers deployed at the piece of land that is causing the conflict, the two groups from the Siria and Ilwuasi Ngishu clans have continued to engage each other.
Rift Valley Regional Commissioner George Natembeya has also warned the fighting clans.
“We will now as government bring cloroquinn to you not panadol this time round,'' he said as quoted by Citizen Digital.
The government last month demarcated a clear boundary between the two clans. However, this was not received well by one clan, which is causing this fights all the time.
The residents have been asked to maintain peace and let the government help them solve the boundary issue.
