Politics being the dirty game, Ruto needs vocal, intelligent and fearless generals who will counter attacks from his opponents and support their master's in such times.

Hitherto, Oscar Sudi and Kipchumba Murkomen have played that role of defending their master remarkably well. However, adding Miguna Miguna to his team will be an achievement of its own.

Miguna Miguna, a firebrand lawyer and a self-proclaimed National Resistance Movement (NRM) general's attempts to return to the country has hitherto flopped.

Miguna Miguna has been in exile for a period of two years now after the government deported him to Canada.

Despite Miguna Miguna being in diaspora, his presence is largely felt in Kenya thanks to his vocal and persistent attacks on dynasties and corruption cartels in the country through his social media platforms.

This is how Miguna Miguna will mirror William Ruto's political mileage if he woes him to his camp.

Miguna Miguna has been on the forefront opposing BBI initiative, dynasties and cartels who have held Kenya hostage.

William Ruto, a self-proclaimed hustler believes in the same ideology and he has on a record of times stated that BBI is a selfish, power-hungry initiative by politicians who want to hold on to power.

He cites that 'a hustler' can also govern this country and that the top seat is not a reserve for dynasty families who have since independence controlled the country.

Being the advocates of the same ideology, Miguna Miguna can easily work with William Ruto and their realignment will be a force to reckon.

Opposing the government and pointing where it errs needs an iron heart and Miguna Miguna is a sure bet. His fearless, no-nonsense approach will come in handy during the time of need.

Having Miguna Miguna at his camp, Ruto is assured of defence amidst of attacks from his opponents.

An enemy of your enemy is your friend so goes the famous maxim.

Will Ruto forge a relationship with Miguna Miguna as the later keeps fighting for his return to the country?

Will the no-nonsense barrister give assent to Ruto's proposal? Time will tell.
