Police officers in Keroka, Nyamira County have arrested a man who clobbered his wife's 'mpango wa kando' to death on Monday.
It is alleged that the suspect Peter Ondigi, a bodaboda rider attacked Duke Nyamora after he found Nyamora pants down with his wife Ann Nyaboke inside his house.
While confirming the incident, Keroka OCPD Walter Apondo said Ondigi returned home to eat lunch when he found the deceased in his matrimonial bed doing bad manners with Nyaboke.
"The suspect was angered after busting his wife naked with Nyamora in the act. He beat him thoroughly before members of the public rescued Nyamora and rushed him to Gucha hospital in Keroka for treatment," said Apondo as reported by Egesa Fm on Tuesday.
Mr Apondo noted that unfortunately, Nyamora did not survive following the serious injuries he sustained during the attack.
"Nyamora died on arrival at Gucha hospital. He sustained injuries on the forehead and backbone. The body was moved to the hospital morgue," he stated.
The OCPD said the suspect went into hiding but police managed to arrest him on the wee hours of Tuesday morning in Keroka.
He also confirmed the arrest of the suspect's wife saying the two are being detained at Keroka police station and they will be arraigned in court.
Mr Apondo warned locals against taking the law into their hands but use alternative means to solve differences in the society.
